Leo Basic Program is a self – paced, user friendly English learning program
portal. It is a practical and a basic course for beginners and aspirants who
want to strengthen English language. It caters to a range of audience
including entrants to IELTS / PTE and TOEFL-iBT students; homemakers who
wish to begin learning or improve their English language abilities; job
seekers who need English language abilities to further their career
opportunities as well as school students from English mediums and
vernacular medium schools who need a supplementary out of the textbook,
practical, skill oriented course to improve their overall English language
skills.

Beginner Intermediate Advanced
The student would be routed to his/her level content based on his/her level and would have access to the relevant material as shown:
- The students at the beginner level will have access to exercises and materials for this level only. Whereas, the intimidate students will access materials from beginners and intermediate but not the advanced level. The student of the advanced level will have access to materials for all three levels
- At the end of each level the student will have to take a timed-test which would allow him/her to move to the next level.
- The passing criteria for each level would be 70%. If the student is unable to pass the level, he/she will be allowed to repeat the level once again.
The Leo Basic Program mainly focuses on honing the receptive language skills of Reading and
Listening and covers the following aspects of learning English.
In the Grammar section, topics have been divided for each section
- Beginners- 20 topics
- Intermediate- 31 topics
- Advanced- 38 topics
There are self-explanatory videos in the Vocabulary Section and the students can watch the videos and understand word- meanings and usage. The student has an access to 234 vocabulary videos each containing a single word and its meaning and usage. There are 78 videos for each section.
Functional English section aims to help the student comprehend and understand simple English content for daily use. It consists of two types of materials - a collection of videos and reading and listening passages.
There are more than 500 self-instructional videos which begin with a set of 13 videos for beginners who wish to learn the English Alphabet. The large video library also has videos for learning to construct grammatical correct sentences as well as learning to talk in simple sentences about day to day topics such as sports, vacations, hobbies etc. A few videos on Personality Development and interview skills have also been included in this comprehensive video library.
The Reading and Listening exercises under the Functional English section have different types of question style for each level. The student attempts these exercises at each level and learns at his /her own pace and quickly moves to the next level after giving a test at the end of each level.
